My name is Christine Demetriou and I oversee all Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at Kingsmoor Academy. At Kingsmoor we pride ourselves on having an inclusive ethos throughout the school for all children. We are dedicated to narrowing the gap between pupils with special education needs and the pupils who do not. We have secure procedures that we are proud to offer at Kingsmoor Academy which support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to ensure that they receive the best education that they are entitled to and that enables them to make progress so that they can:

  • Achieve their best
  • Become confident individuals
  • Make a successful transition into secondary school

Bridge Family Newsletters

We work closely with Essex County Council, and they will be releasing the ‘Bridge Family Newsletter ‘ which will be published monthly for families with a child who has Special Education Needs (SEND).  The newsletter will contain information from across Education, Health and Social Care.
