On behalf of all of the staff at Kingsmoor Academy, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Kingsmoor Academy’s website. All staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for every child. Our school is a place where young minds can explore, discover, and grow, supported by a team of dedicated, passionate and caring staff.
Kingsmoor Academy is sponsored by the Academy Transformation Trust. We are an inclusive school with high expectations for all of our pupils, whereby we aim to provide a calm and stimulating learning environment, rooted in mutual respect and where everyone is valued. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2020, confirmed that we continue to be a good school. They highlighted that: ‘Pupils feel proud to attend Kingsmoor Academy and they enjoy learning. Staff have high expectations. The school’s mission for every child is to be ‘equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to be the best they can be’ is a reality for all pupils.’
At Kingsmoor Academy, we believe that every child is unique and capable of achieving great things. We are committed to providing a well-rounded education that fosters academic excellence, creativity, and personal development. Through our engaging curriculum, extracurricular activities, and strong community values, we aim to inspire a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We offer and promote activities both within and outside of the classroom such as Forest School.
The health and wellbeing of our children is of paramount importance at Kingsmoor and we provide children with ‘circle time’ opportunities to talk freely about emotions and a range of social and life skills are taught through our PSHE programme, Jigsaw. We provide all of our pupils with meaningful opportunities to understand how to be responsible, active citizens who contribute positively to society. We strive to ensure that your child will discover their talents and grow in confidence with a wealth of opportunities available to them such as talent shows, sporting events and residential trips.
We value the excellent relationships between our pupils, parents, staff, governors and the partnership between home and school and encourage open communication to ensure the best possible experience for your child. Whether you are a new or returning family, we are excited to embark on this educational journey with you and look forward to the achievements and memories we will create together.
If you are a prospective parent, we hope that you will come and visit the school personally. If you would like to arrange a visit please call the school office. Together, we will make this a wonderful year of learning and growth! As our pupils state, which became our school motto, “If you believe it, you can achieve it.”
Thank you for choosing Kingsmoor Academy.
Warm regards,
Mrs Angie Skinner
