We have changed our homework format so that your children are given the opportunity to be more creative and take ownership of their own independent learning.
There are a range of activities that your children can complete either independently or with your support. The activities are to be completed on a weekly basis throughout the half term.
Please note that weekly spellings shall be sent home as additional homework and these should be learnt at home every week in preparation for their spelling tests.
Purple Mash is an award-winning cross-curricular website for nursery and primary school children. It enables children to explore and enhance their knowledge in a fun and creative way.
Due to the success of using Purple Mash during partial school closures, Kingsmoor Academy have made the decision to continue using this online tool to support children’s learning at home.
Homework
Pupil’s homework and the majority of homework tasks will now be accessible on the class blogs, which most pupils will already be familiar with. All pupils in the school will have their own username and password and will be able to access their class blog at any time.
Blended Learning
Blended learning combines classroom learning with online learning, in which students can continue with and enhance their learning, even when they are not in school. We feel that using Purple Mash is particularly beneficial as it will allow pupils to access a variety of tasks to consolidate their learning in a fun and engaging way.
