Wow what a day we have had celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day in school. We celebrated by having a picnic style street party in the playground. In preparation for this the children were busy putting their art and D&T skills to use in making flags, bunting and headbands. They also made different types of sandwiches, cakes and biscuits to enjoy at the picnic.

Early Years and Key Stage One have been busy learning ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn and Key Stage Two learned ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ also by Vera Lynn to sing in a special assembly to mark the day.

We’ve had so much fun today and the pictures below show that!
