Dear Parents and Carers,
Following on from our previous message, we would like to inform you that Kingsmoor Academy will remain closed tomorrow due to the adverse weather conditions.  Having spoken with my staff, it is clear that we will not be within ratio again tomorrow due to the roads already becoming extremely icy and therefore dangerous to drive on.  I have also spoken with one of my local Governors, who is also a parent in the school, and he agrees that ‘common sense must prevail’ and that we should keep the school closed to keep everyone safe.
Class teachers will once again upload work on Purple Mash for your children to access their learning from home.
The nativity shows for Year 1 and Year 2 will now be moved to next week as we want as many pupils in for the performance as possible.  Therefore, both shows will now be performed on Monday 19th December.  The morning show will be at 9.30am and the afternoon show will be at 2.00pm.  Your tickets will transfer over to the same time slots for the Monday (i.e. if you originally bought a ticket for the morning show, you would still attend the morning show on Monday and vice versa for the afternoon show).
Once again, thank you for your understanding and we very much hope to re-open on Wednesday.  We will communicate with you again tomorrow about this.
Thank you, the Kingsmoor Team.
