In their music lessons this term, Years 5 and 6 children had been learning songs relating to the theme of ‘Around the World’. As a celebration of their work, they performed a showcase assembly to the whole school and parents. The children were fantastic and it was clear that they all had a brilliant time performing.
Well done to the staff and children in Year 6, for a fantastic leavers assembly. It was very emotional but the children were amazing and it was extremely enjoyable hearing about their memories from their time in Year 6 and their overall time at Kingsmoor Academy.
Some children wrote some fantastic poems for this assembly, describing themselves, their familes and Kingsmoor Academy.
A special congratulations to these children who have achieved 100% attendance for this academic year! Well done!
Every Summer, Kingmoor are treated to a drama production by the children who attend the drama after school club. This years production of Shakespeare’s ‘Much ado about Nothing’ was absolutely fantastic. The children spoke clearly and had worked hard to learn their lines. A special thank you to Mrs Agnoli and Mrs Barnard for their hardwork with helping the children and for running the club each week. We can’t wait to see what you do next year!
Kingsmoor Academy was a sea of Red, Yellow, Green and Blue on Friday (13th July) for our Sport’s Day. All children from Reception to Year 6 participated in a range of sporting activities and races throughout the day; Key Stage Two in the morning and Key Stage One and Early Years in the Afternoon.
Key Stage Two winners – Fire House (Red)
Key Stage One winners – Earth House (Green)
Overall Kingsmoor Winners – Water House (Blue)
Well Done to all of the children and the Sport’s Team for organising a fantastic Sports Day. We even had Mascot visitors in the afternoon from Essex Cricket Club.
During our Sport’s Week, Kingsmoor hosted and participated in the Harlow Judo Festival. Children from Years 1 – 6 all participated throughout the day, after being taught Judo during their weekly lunchtime sessions this school year.
The children were all fantastic, all winning either Bronze, Silver or Gold awards. These medals all contributed to Kingsmoor being the overall winners and winning the trophy for the eighth year in a row.
Congratulations to the winners!!
We are all extremely proud of our Year 6 children. They achieved fantastic SATS results this year and all of their hard work definitely paid off.
Writing – 83%
Reading – 71%
Maths – 79%
SPAG – 89%
These results would not have been possible without a fantastic and supportive team of adults who supported these children throughout their time in Kingsmoor and especially during their time in Year 6.
We are wishing you the best of luck in your secondary schools. You will definitely be missed!!
Our Summer Fayre was a great success! We had a range of stalls and those who attended had a great time. Thank you to everyone who attended and a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to help organise and set it up!
Well done to all of our Year 6 children, for all of your hard work throughout this school year. You have been resilient, hard-working and have coped well with all of the work you have had to do. Enjoy your celebrations and your residential next month.
As you can tell, they are all EXTREMELY happy and relieved 🙂
This terms Kingsmoor’s Got Talent show, included two performances from Year 6 children, featuring our in house pianist who, over the past year, has successfully taught himself how to play the piano at home.
